はじめにIntroduction

midiom は、Windows / macOS 上で単体動作するフル機能の MIDI シーケンサです。ピアノロール・リズムエディタ・数値入力など複数の編集手段を備え、マウスでもキーボードだけでも打ち込み・編集ができます。
さらに midiom は DAW の VST プラグインとしても起動でき、ホストのクロックに同期してシーケンスを走らせ、これらの編集手段を DAW のワークフローに持ち込めます。 midiom is a full-featured MIDI sequencer that runs as a standalone app on Windows and macOS. It offers several ways to edit — a piano roll, a rhythm editor and numeric entry — with the mouse or entirely from the keyboard.
And it also loads as a VST plug-in inside your DAW, running its sequences in lock-step with the host clock and bringing these editing methods into your DAW workflow.

midiom とはWhat is midiom

midiom は MIDI シーケンサです。打ち込みの中心は ピアノロールと レコンポーザ風の数値入力で、さらに VST3 プラグインとして DAW 上で動作し、ホストのトランスポートに同期して MIDI を出力します。Standalone でも単体で動作します。

同じ演奏データは、目的に合わせて複数のビューで編集できます。

  • ピアノロール — マウスでもキーボードだけでもノートを置ける編集画面。まずはここから。
  • 数値エディタ — 位置・音長・データ値をセル単位で打ち込む、レコンポーザ風の入力。
  • リズムエディタ — ドラムを 1 楽器 1 レーンのステップグリッドで打ち込む。
  • コントロールレーン — CC・ピッチベンド・テンポをカーブで描く。
  • マスター — 最大 16 トラックを横断して並べ替え・コピー・移動する。
  • ビジュアライザ — 演奏をエフェクトとともに全画面で可視化する。

midiom is a MIDI sequencer. You compose mainly through two routes — a piano roll and Recomposer-style numeric entry — and it runs as a VST3 plug-in inside a DAW, syncing to the host transport and outputting MIDI. It also runs standalone.

The same performance data can be edited through several views, whichever fits the task.

  • Piano roll — place notes with the mouse or the keyboard alone. Start here.
  • Numerical editor — Recomposer-style entry: type position, length and data values cell by cell.
  • Rhythm editor — step-enter drums on a one-instrument-per-lane grid.
  • Control lane — draw CC, pitch bend and tempo as curves.
  • Master overview — arrange, copy and move across up to 16 tracks at once.
  • Visualizer — a full-screen effects-and-visualisation view of the performance.
数値入力に親しんだ方へIf you know the numeric way — midiom はかつての レコンポーザ風の数値テーブル入力を受け継いでいます。位置・音長・ゲート・ベロシティをキーボードだけで入力でき、ピアノロールと同じデータをいつでも数値で編集できます。 — midiom carries on Recomposer-style numeric-table entry: type position, length, gate and velocity keyboard-only, and edit the same data the piano roll shows, numerically, at any time.
役割Its role — midiom は MIDI を生成するシーケンサです。鳴らすには、出力 MIDI を外部ハードウェア音源や仮想シンセ（ソフトウェア音源）へルーティングして使います。DAW では midiom の MIDI 出力を音源トラックへ、Standalone では MIDI 出力先のデバイス／音源へ送ります。 — midiom generates MIDI to play your instruments. Route its MIDI output to external hardware or a virtual (software) instrument: in a DAW, send it to an instrument track; standalone, send it to your MIDI output device / instrument.

マウスでもキーボードだけでもノートを置ける。グリッドとツールを備える。 Place notes with the mouse or the keyboard alone; a full set of grids and tools.

数値入力（レコンポーザ風）Numeric entry (Recomposer-style)

位置・音長・ゲート・ベロシティをセル単位で入力。フィルタ、F キー、ステップバイアス。 Enter position, length, gate and velocity cell by cell, with filters, F-keys and step bias.

VST3 プラグインVST3 plug-in

DAW に挿してホストのトランスポートに同期し、外部音源へ MIDI を出力。Standalone でも動作。 Load it in a DAW to sync to the host transport and send MIDI to instruments; also runs standalone.

キーボードだけで完結All-keyboard workflow

ピアノロールも含め、カーソル移動・ノート入力・編集・再生まで、マウスを使わず操作できる。 Cursor moves, note entry, editing and playback — the piano roll included — all without the mouse.

マルチトラックMulti-track

最大 16 トラック（MIDI ch 1–16）を同時再生。トラック毎の Undo。 Up to 16 tracks (MIDI ch 1–16) playing together, with per-track undo.

入出力Import / export

.midiom プロジェクト、SMF の読み込み／書き出し、DAW へのドラッグ。 .midiom projects, Standard MIDI File import / export, and drag-to-DAW.
